Takihyo was founded in 1751 in Japan, with its origin rooted in the Kimono garments business.
From the beginning, Takihyo has always followed the philosophy of putting the customer first and has responded and contributed to ever-changing society. Under its operational policy of "undertaking new challenges at all times", we will continue to offer the tools to fulfill the dreams and inspiration of our customers through fashion. Takihyo NY, as one of the branch offices of Takihyo, also follows this spirit and dedicates itself to distribute quality fabrics and garments to customers in the U.S. The fabrics we offer range from a wide spectrum of casual shirting and denim fabrics to drape synthetic fabrics, all of which are primarily sourced from Japanese mills.
We also provide garment production service, specializing in denim and shirts. Our team will be thoroughly involved in the entire process, from your garment selection to bulk production, and delivery.
Takihyo NY Sustainable Actions
We are a member of Textile Exchange.
Textile Exchange is a global non-profit that works closely with our members to drive industry transformation in preferred fibers, integrity and standards and responsible supply networks. Members of Textile Exchange identify and share best practices regarding farming, materials, processing, traceability and product end-of-life in order to reduce the textile industry’s impact on the world’s water, soil and air, and the human population.
We provide FAB SCRAP with our fabric wastage for recycling.
FAB SCRAP works with multiple designers and brands to collect their unwanted excess fabrics and recycle or reuse them. Fabric scraps are shredded to create insulation, carpet padding, furniture lining, moving blankets, etc. Rolls, larger pieces and scrap packs of smaller pieces are sold at their warehouse for anyone.
